Soul Brides

Recalling the day when I had a glimpse of you,

The divinity on your face was spreading through!

Could not speak to you but saw you talking,

the eternal peace that you were transferring!

Next, I got a call and heard your voice;

Felt like connecting to source of rejoice!

We promised to see one day and here we were;

Sharing knowledge and laughter with each other!

Days passed by and so did the learning;

And the faith in ‘Waheguru’ was firming!

‘Soul brides’ as you redefined us;

We all took joy in listening to you for hours!

Every week, we got engrossed in one thing or another;

But we felt comfort by reuniting with each other!

You brought us closer to our supreme power;

Helping us find the purpose & bloom like a flower!

We joined you in chanting and meditating;

When the world seems falling & we were waiting!

You were there for us to hold our hands;

No matter where and how it withstands!

The journey has taken a halt but it is still on;

Each one of us is writing a new story of their own!

Dedicated to my life coach and spiritual mentor- Gurpreet Kaur!

What an aura you carry! Blessed to find you in this life!

Smiling through Scars

Blessed are those who pray for others while struggling with pain inside!

She managed to smile,

didn’t want to be hostile.

The ignorance pinched her hard,

And then started the bombard.

At her every small move,

She had to prove.

And it continued for years,

She pined for love from dears.

Each day she had to drag (herself);

As didn’t know how to brag.

She entered a room full of expectations,

And faced a lot of rejections.

Once was a happy-go-lucky soul,

Others’ happiness was her only goal.

While pleasing others every single day,

Her dream life had to delay.

She wanted to speak aloud,

But was mum throughout.

Waiting for them to value her sacrifice,

Expectation from her only magnifies.

Dealing with the nasty feeling of rejection

She found herself in dejection.

What went wrong, she wondered,

She cried like a little bird.

What has she done’- she overheard,

And she was shattered.

Bearing endless pain inside,

She walked away and got aside.

She gave wings to her dreams,

While silencing her inner screams,

She knew it’s not worth chasing anymore;

As things could never be the same as before.

Finding strength in helping others;

She found her place where she matters.

She grew like a tree and raised the bar;

Has been smiling through scar (s).

Dedicated to all the women who have embraced their pain, shone, and all set to inspire others to live an abundant life (full of gratitude).
